Adverse Weather Policy
The safety, health, and welfare of all animals in my care, as well as the safety of myself and members of the public, is my highest priority.
Services may be amended, shortened, rescheduled, relocated, substituted, or cancelled where weather conditions are considered unsuitable or unsafe.
Adverse weather conditions may include, but are not limited to, extreme temperatures, thunderstorms, lightning, high winds, heavy rain, flooding, snow, ice, poor visibility, poor air quality, or any other environmental conditions that may pose a risk to animal welfare, human safety, or the safe provision of services.
Where adverse weather conditions are present, Rain & Winds may, at its sole discretion:-
- Adjust service times.
- Shorten or modify walks or visits.
- Use alternative routes or locations.
- Substitute walks with enrichment activities, garden visits, or home visits where appropriate.
- Cancel or reschedule services where safe provision is not reasonably possible.
Clients acknowledge that animal welfare considerations will always take precedence over the planned service. No guarantee can be given that services will proceed exactly as booked during periods of adverse weather.
Where reasonably practicable, clients will be informed of any changes to services as soon as possible.
Rain & Winds shall not be liable for any loss, inconvenience, or disruption resulting from service alterations made in the interests of safety and welfare. Where a service is modified, shortened, or substituted due to adverse weather conditions, the full service fee will remain payable.
Where Rain & Winds cancels a service in advance due to adverse weather and no alternative service is provided, clients will be offered either a full refund or a credit towards a future booking.
No refunds will be provided where a client chooses to cancel a service due to adverse weather but Rain & Winds remains willing and able to safely provide the service or a suitable alternative.
